Margriet, a name of brightness, linked to Dutch queens. The flower rises upright, modest yet radiant, its shadows giving everyday beauty a quiet majesty.

On a 10-day trip to Amsterdam, I gave myself a small daily ritual — to draw one tulip each day. Each piece reflects how I was feeling in that moment, turning petals and stems into a quiet diary.
Inspired by Rembrandt’s deep shadows and the still-life paintings of the Dutch Golden Age, I explored how light and detail can hold both the delicacy and drama of these flowers.
This series is a record of my days there, and of the joy in creating something, slowly, every day.
